Naomi Armitage is an illegal Third Type robot. She can think, feel, act, sound, have emotions, and even bear children, just like any living human female. The only difference is her skeleton is made of metal and her brain of microchips. The Thirds were created illegaly to help with the declining birthrate on Mars. But now Armitage is the only one left. With her kind hunted to extinction, Armitage lives with her husband, Ross (a cop with a cybernetic arm and leg), and their daughter, Yoko.
Now a scientist name Demitrio wants Armitage's secret to childbirth. Kidnapping Yoko, Demitrio tries to get Armitage to become part of his project. But Arimtage isn't about to let him harm Yoko, and she certainly won't give up without a fight. Can Armitage save Yoko and still keep Demitrio from discovering her secret?

When Armitage gets herself damaged, Mouse takes her in for repairs. Unbeknownst to Armitage, Mouse makes a copy of her data and sells it to Demitrio.

Demitrio wants to create perfect replicas of Armitage all the way down to her ability to bear children. By kidnapping Yoko he thinks Armitage will willingly give up. Hard as he tries, he has only been able to replicate everything other than Armitage's child bearing quality. He releases two replicas to destroy armitage so he may further his project.
