Wolf's Rain

Enter a futuristic world where wolves have been thought to be extinct for nearly two hundren years. Legend has it that when the apocalypse comes, only wolves will be able to find true paradise.This is the setting for Wolf's Rain, an anime with amazing art and a story just as thrilling. Although no wolves have been seen for two hundred years, the species still lives, even if just barely.
When a large dog is found in the hide-out of a band of thieves the fur flies. The leader of these thieves confronts the wolf named Kiba and reveals that he, too, is a wolf. Tsume has been using an illusion to make humans believe that he is human too. After a short scuffle with Tsume, Kiba gets himself captured and sent to a detective building. Here he meets yet another wolf in hiding, named Hige. He tells Hige that the reason he's in the city is because he smelled a flower; a lunar flower. The key to paradise. Eventually Kiba and Hige meet up with Tsume again, and another wolf named Toboe. The four set out to find paradise while all the while avoiding the wolf hunter Quent and the evil Darcia.Using illusions to hide their true selves from the human world, will they be able to find paradise? Or will they be shot down in their attempt...

The Lone Wolf

Kiba's instinct tells him to find paradise. Look for the lunar flower, it will guide him. While on his journey, he meets up with three other wolves, and takes the place as pack leader. Though the others are doubtful of his "paradise" existing, they follow him nonetheless. Kiba is confident that paradise exists and is determined to find it whether he has company or not.



Tsume
Japanese seiyuu: Miyake Kenta
The Gang Leader

Originally the leader of a band of city thieves. Tsume is definately not one who likes the company of others. He's normally always trying to shrug off those who try to help him, even if he truely needs it. He has little faith in Kiba's idea of paradise, and only follows him becuase his gang abandoned him.



Hige
Japanese seiyuu: Suyama Akio
The Nose

Always hungry, Hige has a nose like no other. He's often times found comenting on how badly something around them smells. He's not one who likes to fight, but he will if he has to. It was Hige who rescued Kiba from the detective building, and for lack of anything better to do, he follows him on his quest for paradise.



Toboe
Japanese seiyuu: Shimowada Hirotaka
The Shy One

Toboe used to be the pet of an elderly lady. When she passed away he was homeless, and not very good at fending for himself in the city. When Tsume saved him from Quent, Toboe decided that he wanted to remain friends. Despite that Tsume had other ides, he remains attached to him and always runs to bring him back when Tsume has had enough and tries to leave the journey.



Cheza
Japanese seiyuu: Ogasawara Arisa
The Flower Maiden

Cheza was created from the lunar flowers. She is said to be the key to getting into paradise.Cheza is what Kiba really smelled in the city. Kept as an experiment by Cher, she was kidnapped by Darcia and taken aboard his ship, making it much harder for Kiba and the gang to track her.

The Scientist

One of the scientists involved with Cheza's creation. Hub Lebowski's ex wife. Her main job is to make sure cheza is safe, and monitor her reactions to her surroundings.

The Detective

Hub is a detective. He's been investigating the giant dog sitings, and some related deaths. Ironic that he's allergic to dogs. He seems to still have feelings for Cher, even though she doesnt seem to want to have anything to do with him outside of work.

The Hunter

His family was killed by what he swears to be wolves. He's determined that they still exist and that he will be the one to destroy them all. He has his trusty dog Blue by his side to help in his quest.

The Pet

Quent's trusty canine companion. She helps Quent track down the suspected wolves. But is this canny canine a wolf herself? Or is she just another dog with the special ability to deceive humans?




Darcia
Japanese seiyuu: Kuroda Takaya
The Evil One

Darcia wants Cheza to get him to paradise, just like the wolves want her. He steals her and takes her aboard his aircraft only to lose her to an escape as she falls into the paws of the wolves. Now he must fight against them to regain his treasure.
