Fail the mission, and only Gantz can decide what will happen to you.

Gantz
The Black Ball
Gantz in all its mysterious glory. It's a large, black ball that sits in the middle of an empty apartment and dictates to people what they must do. Gantz likes to "speak" in l33t and often makes fun of his pawns by calling them names or insulting them.
Kurono
The Main Man
Kurono is the protagonist of the story. He acts pretty immature most of the time but can be a nice guy when he really wants to. He doesn't much like anyone around him, unless of course they're big chested women.
Katou
The Hero
Katou is the one who always tries to play hero. He wants to help everyone, no matter how impossible the predicament might seem. Katou is the all around nice guy but is stron as an ox. Just make sure you don't try to harm innocent women, or you'll end up on the wrong end of his fist.
Kei
The Suicide Girl
Kei first appears after trying to commit suicide. She lands in Gantz's room instead. She almost instantly has a crush on Katou and follows him around everywhere.
Nishijo
The Creepy Kid
Nishijo is very mysterious. He refuses to help anyone else in the missions and seems to know exactly what's going on. However he's not the least bit willing to share his knowledge of the game.
Dog
Woof
No one knows why the dog is there in the Gantz room. He never does anything on missions, but he always comes back. He also has a thing for girls and loves to lick them.
